We are a 5 minute drive to the main Toti beach and the Galleria Shopping Mall is just down the road from us. The top level of the shopping  mall has 11 opulent cinemas, an ice rink, 198 retail stores including the banks and restaurants.  We have purposely positioned ourselves because if you stay too close to the beach, everything is so crowded that you can hardly move your car to go out because of the traffic congestion. 

It is a 15-20 minute drive into Durban where ICC, the Soccer Stadium (with sky car and bungie swinging), uShaka Marine World and Suncoast Casino are located.
